Government Contracts Attorney / 3-5 yrs. / Washington, DC
A top ranked international law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join their Group in Washington, DC. This position primarily will support a Government Contracts sub-group and will involve bid protest work, counseling clients regarding government contracts compliance, drafting and negotiating government subcontracts, conducting internal investigations / responding to government investigations, and litigation of contract disputes. This position will also involve counseling clients with non-FAR based contracts such as cooperative agreements, grants, and other transaction agreements. Qualified candidate must have experience representing clients with federal government contracts and must be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and other FAR supplements. Prior bid protest and contract litigation experience a major advantage. Strong attention to detail and analytical, research, writing, and oral communications skills required. Seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated associate, who has a strong desire to contribute to a team. Positive attitude, willingness to learn and improve, and dedication to serving clients are essential. Top academics and experience required. To be considered, a candidate must have strong academic credentials, hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school, and must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction in which the candidate is admitted to practice. Timely admission to the D.C. Bar will be a condition of employment.
