Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate Attorney / 8+ yrs. / New York
A top international law firm is seeking a Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate Attorney with 8+ years of experience to join their Technology, Media & Telecommunications team in New York. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, ideally at a large law firm or a comparable in-house position, with at least 4–5 of those years focused primarily on privacy and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have deep experience advising clients on the evolving landscape of privacy and cybersecurity laws, U.S. regulatory frameworks, platform policies, and risk management strategies, while also offering globally informed guidance to multinational organizations. Expertise in negotiating data-driven aspects of transactional matters—including M&A, vendor agreements, data sharing, licensing, and tech development—is essential. Candidates should be adept at conducting privacy and cybersecurity due diligence, managing incident response, and counseling on issues related to AdTech, tracking technologies, and consumer data use. Experience advising clients in response to regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and privacy litigation is strongly preferred. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
