Data Privacy Attorney / Los Angeles or San Francisco
A respected international law firm is seeking a Data Privacy Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles or San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of core litigation experience, superior research and writing skills, experience in written discovery and working with expert witnesses, and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Ideal candidates have immediately transferable skills, demonstrated experience with federal and state consumer protection and privacy / security laws, and a strong academic background. An IP or technical background is welcome, but is not required. Candidates must be admitted to practice in California. This team works collaboratively across offices to vigorously represent and defend clients. This includes all aspects of consumer class actions, mass arbitrations, and government enforcement actions, in connection with data, privacy, and technology-related transactions. The practice presents opportunities for associates to develop knowledge in privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection, to learn client development and litigation skills and take an active role in all aspects of matters. In accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position in California is $225,000/yr – $295,000/yr. An individual’s actual compensation will depend on the individual’s qualifications and experience.
