Corporate (Capital Markets) Attorney / Houston
A premier international law firm is seeking an Attorney with 2 – 4 years of experience in capital markets as well as mergers and acquisitions, to join their Capital Markets Group within the Corporate & Transactional Department. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with initial public offerings, equity and debt offerings, both private and public, primarily in the energy space, covering all aspects from upstream, midstream to downstream. This candidate must be able to act as lead associate on transactions and supervise other attorneys in various aspects of due diligence, negotiation, document drafting and deal execution.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- Strong organizational and matter management skills;
- Ability to work professionally and effectively with clients, partners, associates and support staff;
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team;
- Clear and effective drafting skills;
- Exceptional project management skills;
- Ability to effectively manage junior associates and others;
- Strong negotiating skills;
- Juris Doctor; and,
- Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
