Business Litigation Attorney / 3-5 yrs. / Tampa
Seeking a Business Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join a highly regarded Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations Practice Group in Tampa. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting internal investigations involving corporate compliance with government regulations and federal laws, defending corporate clients facing enforcement actions by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and other U.S. and international regulators, and preparing witnesses for government interviews. Experience working for the DOJ or clerking/interning for a U.S. Attorney’s Office preferred but not required. Qualified candidate also will have significant experience with complex business litigation in state and federal courts, which includes experience conducting complex discovery, including email and international data collection; data analysis involving experts; researching and drafting pleadings, complex motions and other court filings; conducting/defending depositions; preparing witnesses for testimony; arguing motions in both state and federal court; and assisting in trial preparation. Experience managing junior associates, paralegals, and other business professionals in investigations also preferred. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. To be considered, a candidate must hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school and be in good standing and an active member of the Florida Bar.
