International Trade Attorney / 2+ yrs. / Washington, DC
The Washington, D.C. office of a multinational law firm is seeking an International Trade Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience with antidumping and countervailing duty investigations to support the trade remedies section of the International Trade practice. Experience in cases before Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, and Court of International Trade preferred. The group counsels clients on the advisability of instituting and participating in proceedings; in prosecuting, as well as defending against, these cases; and in minimizing liability before and after the inception of formal proceedings, in review processes and in judicial appeals. The group also negotiates complex and creative “suspension” agreements on behalf of clients and assists importers and purchasers faced with trade remedy measures. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong research and writing skills and be admitted to practice in Washington, DC.
