Employment Litigation Associate / 4-8 yrs. / Chicago
A prestigious law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate with 4-8 years of experience to join their Labor and Employment group in Chicago. Experience must include single-plaintiff actions involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenant/trade secret misappropriation and whistleblowing, as well as employment class actions and wage-and-hour collective actions. Experience in all (or most) of the following is preferred: conducting internal investigations, responding to demand letters, drafting position statements, handling discovery (including eDiscovery); researching and drafting motions and briefs; preparing for witness interviews and/or depositions, taking and/or defending depositions; working with expert witnesses; preparing for arguments, arbitrations, hearings and trial. Associates should also have experience providing advice and counseling on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment and separation agreements, reductions in-force, and employment related policies. Candidates must also have management side law firm experience. Firm historically has a very competitive salary range along with generous benefits and bonus structures.
