Capital Markets / Agency CMBS Securitizations Associate / 1–2 yrs. / New York, NY
An Am Law 100 firm is seeking an Associate (1–2 years) to join its Capital Markets Department in the New York office, focusing on Agency CMBS Securitizations.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents related to commercial mortgage loan securitizations, including:
• Pooling and servicing agreements
• Offering documents
• Mortgage loan purchase agreements
• Certificate purchase agreements
• Placement agency agreements
• Legal opinions and related contracts - Managing the closing process for complex transactions.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of relevant capital markets / securitizations experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and teamwork.
- Strong work ethic and proactive ownership of responsibilities.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and New York Bar admission (or eligibility).
Compensation:
- Anticipated starting salary: $225,000 – $235,000 (based on qualifications, years of relevant experience, and other factors).
