Intellectual Property Associate / San Francisco

An American international law firm has an opportunity for an associate to work in its Technology Transactions Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in technology transactions, with emphasis on intellectual property & digital media licensing, and technology development and commercialization. Substantive experience with drafting and negotiating broad range of licensing agreements preferred, including agreements involving software and content licensing, partnering and distribution, application hosting, Web-based services, technology development, services agreements, and technology transfer relationships. This job does include advising on privacy compliance and open source software licensing. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to learn and grow his or her skill set in a fast-paced client transactions and to provide practical legal advice to clients. This position does not involve litigation or the prosecution/registration of any intellectual property. EOE.
