A leading firm expanding its Chambers-ranked Privacy & Cybersecurity practice is seeking Health Care and General Privacy Counseling Associates with 4-7 years of experience in health care privacy and other areas of privacy law to join their team in either Mountain View (Silicon Valley), New York, Santa Monica or Washington, D.C. Strong need for associates who can advise clients as they develop products and services; draft and update privacy policies, procedures, notifications, forms of consent, and related documents; and provide other general privacy counseling. The ideal Associate will have a firm understanding of health information privacy (including human subjects research), and facility with federal (HIPAA) and state (CMIA, Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370) health care privacy laws; Consumer privacy; Other federal privacy laws, such as GLBA, FCRA, COPPA, and the FTC Act; Comprehensive state privacy laws, such as the CCPA; International privacy laws and regimes, such as the EU’s GDPR; and General technology and data flows. Candidates should have: superior academic credentials; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; strong professional references; and California, DC or New York bar membership (as appropriate) or eligibility to take the next available exam. The starting salary range for this position is currently: $310,000 – $445,000.
