Trusts & Estates Associate / 3-6 yrs. / North Carolina and South Carolina locations
A nationally- and internationally-recognized Private Wealth team is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with at least 3 to 6 years of experience to join their team in either Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro in North Carolina or Greenville, Columbia, Charleston in South Carolina. Candidates should have experience working primarily in the field of estate planning and/or estate administration. Experience drafting estate planning documents and probate forms, including accountings, required by the probate court preferred. A willingness to learn areas of the law as necessary is required. Candidates will support a sophisticated practice, serving ultra-high net worth clients. Preference will be given to candidates who have specific experience related to the foregoing – including drafting irrevocable trusts, investment partnerships (LLCs) and advanced transfer strategies – and/or who demonstrate a sincere interest in such tasks. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must. Candidates must be licensed in North Carolina and/or South Carolina. Having a LLM in either estate planning or tax is preferred.
