Insurance Regulatory and Transactional Associate / New York
The Insurance Regulatory and Transactional practice of highly regarded, international law firm is seeking an associate with 2-6 years of Insurance Regulatory and Transactional experience. The associate will work with partners in multiple offices on a wide range of insurance regulatory matters across all lines of insurance and will work closely with insurance companies, brokers, agents, and tech companies from around the world. The position will also involve assisting on M&A, private equity transactions related to the insurance industry. Candidates with specific expertise in insurance regulatory matters at law firms, insurance companies, insurance agencies, industry groups and governmental agencies will be considered. Experience in strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and investments, as well as general corporate and corporate governance experience is also preferred but not required. This position will be in New York. Requirements include:
- Juris Doctor;
- Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in New York;
- Creativity and flexibility to handle numerous types and structures of transactions;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- Strong organization and matter management skills;
- Ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associate and Support Staff;
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team;
- Exceptional project management skills; and
- Excellent academic credentials.
