Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney / 2-6 yrs. / Chicago
A top global law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 to 6 years of experience to join their group in Chicago. This practice represents domestic and international insurers in complex, high value, high profile coverage litigation and bad faith cases, providing primary, excess and reinsurance coverage to municipalities, school districts, churches and other public and private entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who is able to work within a busy and fast-paced team environment. The successful associate attorney will analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice and recommendations for clients; Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda; Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence; Attend depositions, hearings and mediations, as required. Must be admitted to practice in Illinois; have excellent academic credentials; 2 to 6 years of complex insurance coverage litigation experience, bankruptcy experience is a real plus; excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills; and, exceptional attention to detail; strong organizational and time management skills.
