Corporate M&A Attorney / 3-4 yrs. / Chicago
A highly regarded global law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A Attorney with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join their group in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on private M&A and private equity. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and the other documentation used in complex M&A and private equity transactions and proficiency in drafting the same. This position requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload within a fast-paced environment. Strong academic credentials and writing skills are essential. Additional requirements: Well-versed in the mechanics of leading an M&A transaction from inception to closing; experience leading due diligence teams; general corporate and corporate governance experience; ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas and a willingness to train junior associates. Candidates must be admitted to the Illinois Bar or eligible for admission to the Illinois Bar. Firm offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
