American international law firm has an opportunity available in the Debt Finance practice group in its New York, Washington, DC or Boston office. Associates with two to three years of finance experience, particularly with a focus on private equity, at a AmLaw 100 firm are especially encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will be looking for a broad finance practice and will have experience in (i) secured lending transactions representing borrowers or lenders (including syndicated financing transactions, financing transactions for venture backed companies, and/or acquisition financing transactions), and/or (ii) convertible note or high yield bond offerings representing issuers or underwriters. Relevant experience would include but not be limited to drafting and negotiating transaction documents (including related legal opinions) and closing responsibilities. Knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, secured transactions, debt securities offerings, and general corporate law are also preferred. All candidates must have a JD or the equivalent and have demonstrated high academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and have a high level of attention to detail.
