A global law firm currently has an excellent full-time Practice Development employment opportunity in its Miami office. Must be a self-starter who is flexible, collaborative, resourceful and focused on supporting the firm’s Global Litigation Practice. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills (including an ability to prioritize), and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, are essential. This candidate must possess a strong client service orientation and an ability to develop relationships within the firm. Duties & Responsibilities · Work hand-in-hand with global marketing team resources to help implement the marketing and business development initiatives of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice. · Understand and help execute key initiatives of the Global Litigation Practice, particularly as relates to its substantive practice areas. · Support the Litigation attorneys in delivering strategic marketing and business development plans/programs and in cross-marketing initiatives. · Work with regional and practice group managers and the business development team to support Litigation-related proposal requests and RFPs. · Creating targeted proposals, as well as the development and management of supporting resources and materials, including practice descriptions, experience databases and client lists. · Gathering market research and analysis on targets/sectors, as needed. · Organizing regularly-scheduled practice group conference calls, as well as initiating following-up on specific action items arising from those discussions. · Draft, edit and distribute marketing materials, internal newsletters, press releases, seminar materials, client updates and other client communications, as needed. · Ensure the flow of information from attorneys to marketing team, including as it relates to attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking news and activities data, press releases, etc. · Assist with a variety of other short and long term projects and attorney requests. · Collaborate with marketing professionals throughout the firm, including the communications team, events team and design team. Skills & Competencies · Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, including solid composition, research and editing skills. · Strong client service skills. · Must be a self-starter, organized, able to work with a minimum of supervision, yet be part of a global team. · Problem-solving ingenuity and ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities. · Ability to work well under pressure. · Attention to detail. Qualifications & Prior Experience · Bachelor’s degree required; Masters or JD required. · Candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in marketing or business development. · High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). · Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
