An international law firm has an opportunity available for an attorney with significant experience in trademark prosecution counseling and litigation. Candidates must have experience in advising on the availability of trademark protection for proposed marks, including experience with clearance searches and analysis of risk associated with proposed marks and reporting results to clients. Candidates also need to be familiar with trademark processes, requirements, and filings (particularly at the USPTO), and have experience in docket management to meet deadlines as well as developing and implementing trademark filing strategies and related communications with the client and foreign counsel. In addition, experience with trademark dispute and enforcement matters including cease and desist letters, trademark trial and appeal board proceedings and litigation is needed. Experience with trademark transactional work including licensing and due diligence is a plus. Qualified candidates will have excellent academic credentials and superior writing, oral communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently but collaboratively in a fast-paced practice handling dozens of clients at once, often on a cross-office team. While not required, experience with clients in the pharmaceutical and life science industries, and with matters involving domain name disputes and arbitrations, and copyright disputes, is a plus.  If you or someone you know is interested in additional information, please reach out to Sydney at ssmith@hwrlegal.com or contact us to get started!
